Celebrating 40 Years of Purpose, Service, and Impact

by Admin

Today, as I celebrate my 40th birthday, I find myself deeply grateful, not just for the years, but for the journey they represent. Every season of my life has been a story of learning, serving, and creating impact, especially in the lives of young people across communities.

Over the past two decades, I’ve been privileged to wear many hats – a community development strategist, youth mentor, digital transformation advocate, and servant leader. From establishing digital literacy initiatives in public schools to leading technology boot camps, empowering young entrepreneurs, and building civic awareness among youths, every project has been anchored on one conviction: true leadership is service.

Volunteering has been the platform upon which I have discovered purpose and expanded influence. It opened doors I could never have imagined; from leading statewide civic initiatives to working with the U.S. Government Exchange Alumni Network in Nigeria, to representing Nigeria on international stages like the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) and receiving global awards for community impact. Each of these experiences reinforced the truth that when we give of ourselves, the world gives back in multiplied opportunities for growth and transformation.

As I cross this significant milestone, my heart beats stronger for the future. A future where social impact is driven not just by passion, but by research, innovation, and technology. I am committed to deepening my work in Digital Public Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, and AI for Development, leveraging research-based approaches to solve real societal problems. My next decade is about helping more communities and organizations design smarter, technology-driven solutions that empower people and sustain progress.

To everyone who has walked with me on this journey; mentors, colleagues, friends, and the countless young people whose dreams inspire me daily, thank you! You’ve made my story richer, and the impact deeper.

Here’s to 40 years of grace, and to the many more years ahead of service, growth, and purposeful innovation not by might, but BY GOD’S GRACE!
